Dynamite Delta Steppers Raise Almost $28,000 to Fight Cancer

Team Led by DAC Members Earns First Place
Congratulations to the Dynamite Delta Steppers for raising $27,624 for this year's American Cancer Society Relay for Life, a fundraising event that celebrates the lives of those who have battled cancer. The Dynamite Delta Steppers raised the most funds, outpacing the next highest team by more than $17,000. Thank you to all the DAC sorors who helped make this accomplishment possible.

The Dynamite Delta Steppers also won the award for the best decorated campsite. The top individual fundraising award went to Soror Bernestine Bailey Thornton, who raised more than $9,000 singlehandedly.

You Can Still Donate and Join the Fight Against Cancer
This year's Relay for Life raised an astonishing $98,800 and counting in the fight against cancer! There is still time to contribute if you would like to help. Online donations can be made on Relay for Life the site through August. You can also send donations to Relay For Life of Detroit, 20450 Civic Center Drive, Southfield MI 48076.  Remember to put Dynamite Delta Steppers on your contribution.
